Liner notes
Write a nostalgic country song with acoustic guitar and a slow, reflective tempo about the quiet streets of Petroleum, Indiana. The lyrics should tell the story of a town born from an 1894 oil boom, where today a cold Midwestern wind blows past the empty commercial buildings and the old storage units on State Road 1. Feature a melancholic vocal performance that reminisces about the Petroleum Panthers, singing about the lonely boulder on East County Road 300-South that marks where the old school used to stand. Let the pedal steel guitar weep for the memories fading along Cherry Street, capturing the enduring, quiet pride of this tiny rural community.
