Rock
Liner notes
A heartland rock anthem about the tight-knit, working-class roots of Merrionette Park, Illinois, where post-WWII homes stand proud on flat prairie land. The lyrics tell the story of volunteer firefighters and summer nights at the baseball fields on South Homan Avenue, capturing the spirit of a small village built on old Van Laten's Farm. Gritty electric guitars and a driving drumbeat echo the hum of traffic down 115th Street and Kedzie Avenue, celebrating a resilient community that bands together when the heavy Midwestern snow falls.
