Liner notes
A soulful blues track celebrating Cherokee, Iowa, echoing the lively sounds of the town's annual January Jazz & Blues Festival. The lyrics paint a picture of the Little Sioux River winding past the modern split-level courthouse and the historic brick Mental Health Institute. A steady bassline and wailing saxophone pay tribute to the musicians playing downtown at The Gathering Place on a cold winter night.
