Liner notes
Write a folk song about California Junction, Iowa, a tiny railroad town where the Sioux City and Pacific Railroad once met. Sing about the old grain elevator run by the United Western Coop that still stands tall against the sky. Mention the marshy area on Fremont Avenue where the old 1922 oil prospect well still leaks water, a reminder of dreams that never quite struck gold.
