Bloomingdale, MI, USA
americana folk
Liner notes
Compose an americana folk ballad about Bloomingdale, Michigan, tracing its journey from an 1870s lumber and railroad town to a brief 1930s oil boom on the Wiggins farm. The lyrics should paint a picture of the Kal-Haven Trail running right through the main four corners and the old Depot Museum at Augustus Haven Park. Use acoustic guitar and a warm, storytelling vocal to capture the resilience of a small Van Buren County village that survived multiple historic fires.
