A bluegrass gospel song about the small town of Grand Rivers, Kentucky, nestled on the narrow isthmus between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. The lyrics tell the story of the town's history, from Thomas Lawson's failed iron dreams to the creation of the lakes by the TVA, and celebrate the tight-knit community that gathers near Patti's 1880's Settlement and the Badgett Playhouse. The music features a lively acoustic arrangement with a prominent banjo, fiddle, and upright bass, accompanied by soulful, harmonized vocals that evoke the spirit of the 'Village Between the Lakes'.
